Book: Learning for Life: Christian Education and the Practice of Faith

Office for Education and Faith Development, Reformed Church in America, 2001. Three-ring binder. $49.95.

“What does it mean to follow Jesus as a disciple in this day and at this time?” That question forms the invitation to a renewed commitment to lifelong learning in the Reformed Church in America (RCA), though others could also benefit from this notebook of resources. Of the eight sections, the third section on worship includes 41 pages: the “Discipleship Worship Service” by Ron Rienstra (see pp. 29-32 for an abbreviated version of that service), followed by “Prayers, Liturgies, and Devotions for the Whole Year” (26 pp.) written by James and Kathleen Hart-Brumm, both RCA pastors. Other sections include Bible studies, articles, and resources on multicultural education.
