A “to, through, in” prayer is a Trinitarian prayer in which we acknowledge that we are praying to God the Father through the mediation of Christ Jesus the Son and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Lord,
we come to you distracted, anxious, and broken.
Our hearts long to soak up your words,
but Satan is trying everything to stop this.
We pray to you, God, that through the Spirit in the power of Jesus Christ, your Son,
you will allow our hearts to open and soak up these words like a sponge at a desert oasis.
Amen.
