Romans 11:36

A Visual Doxological Testimony
Romans 11:36 Regina Jupp

“For everything comes from him
and exists by his power
and is intended for his glory.
All glory to him forever!
Amen.”
—Romans 11:36 (NLT)

God is the limitless, unmatchable, holy Creator of all things. The entire cosmos was created to glorify God. Whether the flutter of insect wings, the placement of a rock formation, or the breath of a worshiper, nothing exists without that purpose.

As an artist, I quiet myself from the world and immerse myself in worship to create any meaningful artwork. Even then, my offerings feel so small. They fall far short of what God deserves. Yet I am called to use whatever I have to add beauty and goodness to the world through my work. I am called to glorify God even through the strokes of my brush.

While standing against advanced cancer over the past six years and giving myself over to worship regardless of my circumstances, I have counted on the immensity and sovereignty of God who is vast enough to cover me and carry me, whose words are true and whose promises stand. All of my worries can melt away, and I can still be used when God asks me to worship and paint. God is worthy of all of my praise; every day God is faithful.
