Psalm 100 open bible

The following litany is the text of Psalm 100 interspersed with Philippians 4:4–9. It has two parts, part A (Psalm 100) and part B (Philippians 4:4–9). This could be read by two readers, by a leader and congregation, or by the congregation split into two parts.

A. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.

B. Rejoice  in the Lord always;
    again I will say, Rejoice.

A. Serve the Lord with gladness;
    come into his presence with singing.

B. Let your gentleness be known to everyone.
    The Lord is near.

A. Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his;
    we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

B. Do not be anxious about anything,
    but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
    let your requests be made known to God.

A. Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise.

B. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
    will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
A. Give thanks to him; bless his name.

B. Whatever is true,
    whatever is honorable,
    whatever is just,
    whatever is pure,
    whatever is pleasing,
    whatever is commendable,
    if there is any excellence
    and if there is anything worthy of praise,
    think about these things.

A. For the Lord is good;
    his steadfast love endures forever
    and his faithfulness to all generations.

B. As for the things that you have learned
    and received
    and heard
    and noticed in me,
    do them,
    and the God of peace will be with you.
